Boy Scout Troop 22

Picture
First Congregational Church has sponsored Boy Scouts of America Troop 22 for over 90 years.  Troop 22 is the oldest active Boy Scout Troop in Braintree.  The troop has been sponsored by the First Congregational Church since the unit's organization in 1921.

The Boy Scout program welcomes boys ages 11 through 17 (10 if he has completed the 5th grade) and delivers a program of citizenship training, character development and personal fitness.

Troop 22 has a year round program that consists of weekly Troop meetings and monthly camp outs from September through June, a week long Summer Camp in July and with special programs in August.  The Troop also participates in many Serivce Projects throught the year - projects and programs run by our Sponsor, the Town, and the extended community.

All interested, eligible boys are welcome to attend a Troop meeting on Monday night at 7:00 p.m. in the Church Lower Parish Hall.  Note, Troop meetings are not held if school is not in session on a particular Monday due to a holiday or school cancellation.

Come on down and check us out!
